Extraordinary Strong Bonding...!!!

Thanks to Hon Siong, we manage to get an apartment to stay for 1 nite before heading to Pulau Chagar Hutang. UPM driver also took us to for a rest in Cherating .What a relaxing nite....we went for the so called "nite life" in Kuala Terengganu, packing, play games (i lost everytime. Hand's burning...) & chit chatting for the whole nite. Everyone's tired but still, excited for what will coming up next!!!...stay tune...

4- 11 October 2008, I've join as a volunteer for "Sea Turtle Rehabiliation & Research Group-SEATRU Programme" at Pulau Chagar Hutang, Pulau Redang, Terengganu, with Golden Key Committee member. This programme was organized by Prof. Chan Eng Heng from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. She had been conducted a research for sea turtle for more than 10 years. She wish to continue her works to protect the sea turtle from extinction.

This is the best view i get to see everyday during my stay in Pulau Chagar Hutang. It's enchanting no matter day or night. Each day was so relaxing just by walking along the sea shore, throwing stone, yoga, meditation, watch the sky, sleep on the beach, patrolling, chit-chatting, listen to the "ocean blow"(wind & cloud),the wave, sand, tree, leaves, fishes, sea shells.....so natural.....

Potential "monkey-to-be". Curi coconut from the Long Beach Island

"More More Tea" movie scene.

First activity in Pulau Chagar Hutang - Snorkelling & round island. "Fu-yooh..."
For those who dunno how to swim...(me lah..:p), of course will pissed-up when first jump into the sea. But it's totally nothing to be fear of as long as the life jacket covered you up. My first experience snorkelling with friends is amazing & exhausted too (swimming is really tiring. but worth it as you can see all those fishes & coral).

The first green sea turtle known as "May Ling" (haha, we simply give the name....gossiping our GK president :p), finally shown up after the long wait. Of course we all rushed to touch it & take picture with "her" lo. Then kena scold by the workers coz cannot flash the turtle (if not, it will not lay egg there. oso will blind "her" eyes). Huuh....in order to apologize, we have to do all the rest works lo. Wait until the turtle dig a hole, lay eggs, then mark the place, measure the turle lenght & wide, wait until finish sand-bathing & go back to the sea. All these process took bout 4-5 hour. What to do? just wait....wait & wait luu.........

Another exciting activities we can do here is "River-Hiking". The river just beside our camp side. But we hv to walk all the way up the river with just our bare foot & without any guide. It's fun & challenging. Must pay 100 % attention coz the stone is slippery & there's a lot of tree with thorn (so, dun simply simply hold or step on a tree or stone. It's still dangerous). Along the hike, we mandi-manda there, having a "prawn spa massage", enjoyed the forestry (dun actually know the tree name la of course), eye-catching turtle rock view from the top & also the magnificent batu bertangga (which bri-bri finally slipped off & dislocated her wrist when coming down...sad..). Thanks god ! she's ok now.

"Turtle Rock Climbing" - Meet the challenge again. This one with guidance from Harry, the workers there. There's a total of 5 view point we have to climb. The climb & the view is both "Breath-Taking" (as you can see how the rock is arrange from the picture & the height from the sea....). Not an easy task, but I done it !!! Yahoo....!!!

Finale....going back to where we belong. End of "heaven's ". So hard to go back to the fast-paced environment. The fun & experience in Pulau Chagar Hutang was extremely unforgettable. A memory that will be cherish forever...
